EMG MEASUREMENT

Objective values

With the SYMBIONT it is possible to measure muscular tension in real time using surface electrodes and display it graphically. The athlete specifically tenses a specific muscle group and tries to maintain the tension for a certain period of time. The SYMBIONT measures the changes in electrical signals in the muscles and displays them using a graph.

The athlete receives immediate feedback about the tension of the muscles and can use various tests to identify any existing deficits or differences in the ability to control the muscles and then improve them together with the trainer.

This means that muscular imbalances, a common cause of back problems, can be uncovered and specifically corrected. In addition, body awareness can be excellently trained by checking the muscular tension during functional movements and training it with immediate feedback.

Subjective feeling

The aim of every training session should be to produce a subsequent adaptive response through a significant training stimulus.
It is fundamentally important to improve the subjective feeling for training load and muscular tension and thus to build references. Anyone who has ever trained with a heart rate monitor will quickly notice that after a certain amount of time you can estimate your own heart rate relatively well.

Accordingly, the perception of muscle tension can be trained by linking objective measurements and subjective feeling in the sense of autosensitive training. The improvement of neuromuscular control and the conscious and targeted tension of muscles can then be used for everyday motor or sport-specific movements. Both strength and coordination increase, muscular imbalances are compensated for and performance is increased.
